The city has been adding sidewalks to neighborhood streets in phases.
The Mountain Brook City Council will discuss adding a section of sidewalk to Vine Street at its Aug. 10 meeting.
The sidewalk would stretch 167 feet starting at Dexter Avenue and running to the alley between Dexter and Euclid Avenue. The estimated price for the project is $7,380.
The council will discuss the sidewalk project at its pre-meeting, which begins at 6 p.m. Also at that time, they will consider a Board of Equalization nomination, hear an update on Lane Parke from John Evans, consider a request for funding for the Prescott House and enter an executive session.
The council's formal meeting begins at 7 p.m. That agenda includes a declaration of Ovarian and Gynecological Cancer Awareness Month, awarding a bid for an LED lighting project and placing a stop sign at Brookwood Road at its intersection with Crosshill Road.
Updates from the meeting will be posted on villagelivingonline.com at its conclusion.
