On May 6, the Google Expeditions Pioneer Program visited Brookwood Forest Elementary School. BWF hosted this one of a kind virtual reality program. BWF second through fifth grade students students took virtual field trips to the Moon, Volcanoes, Gettysburg, Arctic to see Polar Bears and much more.
Expeditions is a new product that allows teachers to take their classes on virtual field trips, immersing students in experiences that bring abstract concepts to life and giving students a deeper understanding of the world beyond the classroom.
The experiences were a huge hit with both teachers and students. The event was under the direction of Sharon Mumm.
