Spartans with the championship trophy from the Hewitt Trussville Invitational.
The Freshmen Spartan basketball team, coached by Benny Eaves, concluded a spectacular season finishing with a 22-3 record.
The team recently defeated Homewood in the championship game to claim the Hewitt-Trussville Invitational title. Earlier in the season, the team won the Spain Park Holiday tournament and finished third in the Hoover Big Orange Tournament. It was one of the winningest Mountain Brook Freshmen basketball teams in history.
